Yorkshire Lubricants can supply a comprehensive range of Petronas products directly from the UK and via our customer network in Norway. Petronas manufactures automotive and industrial lubricants and are currently ranked among the top 10 lubricant manufacturers in the world.

As sponsors to the F1 Mercedes Team, Petronas provide technical lubricant support to the team constantly monitoring and improving their products in this ultimate proving ground to develop the most technically advanced oils for today’s and tomorrow’s motor vehicles.

These Petronas products offered by Yorkshire Lubricants meet the tough demands of today’s technology whilst rotecting the enviroment assisting our customers to comply with the latest emission standards.

In light of the increased awareness against global warming, vehicle manufacturers have been charged with the task to design and build vehicles that produce minimum emissions that are harmful to the environment.

To that end it is essential that the lubricant is compatible with the exhaust system, DPF, EGR and Ad Blue systems.

Using an incorrect oil can seriously damage the emission reduction systems (exhaust) and in most cases in modern vehicles the engine management system will shut down the engine to prevent further damage. In practicable terms the car or trucks’ computer system will set the engine to “limp mode” or in worst case the vehicle will be broken down on the side of the road. The usual fix is to replace the damaged DPF or EGR which can be very costly.

Modern oils and lubricants are low SAPS and need to meet engine manufacture requirements meeting or surpassing the required ACER specifications E7 and E9 , the correct oil now being an essential component of the engine to reduce emissions and to be compatible with the exhaust system.
